Azhagar Malai Movie Review

Azhagar Malai Movie is directed by Rajkumar and music is scored by Illayraja. This film produced under karumari movie banner is starred by RK, Banu, Vadivelu, Napoleon, Manivannan. The makers have their intentions clear, to create an out and out commercial entertainer for the masses. Napolean and Lal play the arch rivals in Azhagar Malai. It is said that their enmity extends back a long way. It intensified when Lal was engaged in big time corruption with government funds and Napolean spoilt his plans by bringing his acts to light.

From then on it is blow for blow, eye for and eye until the end when one has to go ultimately. RK appears as the younger brother of Napolean. He is the typical youth, carefree, always seen in the company of Vadivelu. He meets Banu, love happens and their marriage is fixed by Napolean. There is nothing strikingly novel about the premise of the story. Yet, the director has managed to make something out of it. The cast has performed well. RK seems to have worked hard on his acting. One can sense the hard work. But, his dance movements still look artificial and plastic.

This film when reviewed overall gets a score of 55 out of possible 100 points. Anyways let us wish this film a good success.

Spy Thrillers have now become a trend in Bollywood movies. First you have Saif Ali Khan getting into shape to play the role of Agent Vinod in his next production after Love Aaj Kal. This time he will be starring opposite Kareena Kapoor and it will be directed by Sriram Raghavan.
Bit they are not the only real life couple who will be playing sleuths. Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai too will be getting ready to play spies in Abhinay Deo's next called Crooked.

Besides, these two, the film will also star Boman Irani, Jimmy Shergill and Gul Panag. The film is expected to be shot in exotic locations like Greece, Turkey, Thailand and in India. Crooked is reportedly not the final title of the movie, but only its working title. Meanwhile, Abhinay is giving finishing touches to his Delhi Belly, produced by Aamir Khan and starring Imran Khan and Shenaz Treasurywala. Incidentally, Saif will need to really work out hard if he wants to build his muscles for his role in Agent Vinod. The actor is planning on acquiring an eight pack. But it seems that there are major concerns about his health as well. Let's see how the actor works around that.

Kamal plays 'A Wednesday'

Everyone is aware of the fact Director K. Balachander is the mentor of the great actor Kamal Haasan. Director told that a technician cannot earn more in the cinema industry, only an actor can. So I became an actor, recalled Kamal Haasan, when enunciating on his remake of the movie ‘A Wednesday’.

Kamal said that heeding to his mentor’s words he decided to don the greasepaint, but over the years he had learnt to spend his hard earned money to meet the demands as a technician. " In a wednesday", the actor will play the role that was briefed so beautifully by Naseeruddin shah.

Kamal also elaborated that he was greatly surprised seeing Naseeruddin portray his role with utmost precision in which his perseverance is clearly visible. I am enacting just seeing him on-screen which has made my job all the more easy. There is nothing wrong in remaking movies from other languages as long it has a strong and appealing message to be conveyed to the people. There are instances of successful remaking in earlier years too. A Wednesday is one such good movie which inspired me venture into its remake.
