Happy Independence Day

India is celebrating its independence day 2009 today in a grand manner as usual. India is one of the fast growing nations where its growth is diversified in many fields. On the occasion of India's 62nd Independence Day, our confident Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh sent out a positive Independence Day message that India had self faith, political stability and economic strength to march towards “a golden future.

An impregnable ground-to-air security apparatus has been put in place in the capital, especially near the Red Fort where Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will unfurl the tri-colour and address the nation for the sixth consecutive time on Saturday morning. Besides Red Fort, intense vigil will be maintained at key installations like Parliament complex, international airport, railway stations, inter-state bus terminals and Metro stations. Localities around Red Fort have been sanitised and informers have been deployed to keep a check on movement of anti-national elements. Specialised units like Quick Reaction Teams, SWAT and Vajra are being deployed.

Wish you all Indians a very happy independence day. Jai Hind! India Rockz!

India Celebrates HOLI Festival

It has been a tradition in India to celebrate the Festival of Colours with great sense of excitement all over the country. This colourful festival is being celebrated by all kinds of people and especially the north of India love celebrating Holi in even more grand style. This festival has a mythological importance of the victory of good over evil. This festival is celebrated by spraying colours on everyone, possibly all different colours will light up a Holi day. As usual HOLI is celebrated in a grand manner this year.

Holi revellers in Rajasthan's Bikaner are enjoying the famous Dab Dhamaal Holi, a unique manner of celebrating the festival of colours to the beats of the 'Dab'.The festivities here commence with the men-folk dressed as women and performing to the traditional Rajasthani folk songs. Artistes play various musical instruments and sing folk songs to mark the onset of the festival.

In Mumbai, members of Koli (fishermen) community celebrated the festival a day before the actual day of Holi as per the Hindu calendar.Several generations of the fishermen community of Worli in Mumbai have been celebrating the festival.Traditionally, a tree is decorated with garland, flowers, fruits and food and is then worshipped by the Koli women. Later, wood is lit to conclude the celebrations.Even foreign tourists joined the local revellers in the celebrations of Holi.

Although Holi is celebrated with colours across India, people in Allahabad celebrate the festival in their unique manner.People take out a hammer procession in which the hammer is adorned as a groom along with a fan as the bride. All the traditional rituals of Hindu marriage are performed to wed this hammer and the fan. This procession begins with the breaking of a pumpkin that is filled with colours, which is then splashed over the revellers. This colour splashing has been the trend of Holi festival.

The streets, people, park, beach, theatres etc. will will be sprayed with different possible colours and this wonderfull tradition of Indian culture will surely be enjoyed a lot by all. Wish you all HAPPY HOLI.

Republic Day 2009!!!

Rich Land of Culture
Unity in Diversity

Mighty Armed Forces
Trusts Peace

India enters it's 60th Republic Day today.

THE REPUBLIC Day of India is to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India and the transition of India from a British Dominion to a republic on January 26, 1950. Although India obtained its independence on August 15, 1947, the Constitution came into effect only on January 26, 1950 and this is celebrated as the Republic Day.

To mark this occasion, a grand parade is held in New Delhi. The parade begins from Raisina Hill, the Presidential palace and proceeds along Rajpath past the India Gate and finally to the historic Red Fort where the Indian tricolour is hoisted. The martyrs are remembered by the laying of wreaths at the memorial Amar Jawan Jyoti. On this day, India hosts another head of state as the chief guest and for 2009; the honour will be bestowed upon Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhastan.

India utilises this glorious occasion to showcase her armed forces and the armory she has at her disposal to thwart evil designs of invaders. From the battle tanks to the anti aircraft guns and the fighter planes, every branch of defence exhibits its prowess. There are colorful march-past of different regiments of the army, navy and air force apart from the NCC cadets and paramilitary forces. Tableaus of the states are the attraction, for which people brave the chilly conditions to be present at the venue and enjoy the atmosphere. And the icing on the cake is the dances performed by school children – the amount of dedication and practice and hard work that goes into the final presentation leaves one wonderstruck. Then there is the flower show of the Delhi Municipal Corporation – the horticulture department works overtime to create an offering that can only be visualised in dreams.

Frnz.. I would like you all to convey your hearty wishes to INDIA.

Merry Christmas 2008!!!

Wish U all a Very Happy Christmas Day!!! May Lord JESUS shower Blessings on us and give us a good life with all health and wealth!!!

Christmas is celebrated throughout the Christian population, but is also celebrated by many non-Christians as a secular, cultural festival. Because gift-giving and several other aspects of the holiday involve heightened economic activity among both Christians and non-Christians, Christmas has become a major event for many retailers.

Long time ago in Bethlehem so the Holy Bible said , “Mary’s boy child Jesus Christ was born on Christmas Day And Man will live forever more because of Christmas Day”

While Shepherds watch their flocks by night, they see a bright shining star, they hear a choir sing a song , all the bells rang out, their were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted “Let everyone know, There is hope for all to find Peace”
